It is nearly Spring and once again time for 7 on 7 Football!
This year the 7 on 7 program at VFA will be much different than the 2011 season. The St. Johns River Youth Football Conference is hosting a 7 on 7 Passing League this season that numerous organizations around the Jacksonville area will be competing in.
VFA will be participating in this league.
Here are some general details on the league:
- The season will run in the months of March and April
- There are only three age divisions based on players current school grade – 6th/7th grade, 8th/9th grade, 10th/11th grade
- Practices will begin in March. In the month of March we will practice every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 7pm to 8:30pm at Palencia Park. In the month of April we will only practice on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 8:30pm at Palencia Park
- Teams will have practice games against other organizations on the first three Saturdays in April (7th, 14th, 21st)
- All teams in the league will participate in a 7 on 7 tournament on April 28th, which will conclude the season
- All VFA players will be coached together by experienced football coaches and learn the proper fundamentals of the passing game (offensive and defensive) as it applies to 11 on 11 tackle football
- Teams will be formed by the coaches prior to games in April based on player skill level and position
- Registration Fee is $75 per player
Registration for the 7 on 7 Passing League will be at the football field at Pacetti Bay Middle School on Saturday 2/11, 2/18 and 2/25 from 2pm to 4pm.

We would like to start our first fundraiser endeavor for this year! This fundraiser requires very little effort to raise funds for the VFA Panthers ! THE PLAYERS Championship has partnered with local youth sports association and given them a great opportunity to raise money by selling a discounted PLAYERS Championship ticket. When they sell a ticket for $40, VFA gets to keep $25 from each ticket sold.
The Villages Football Association has agreed to sell discounted PLAYERS Championship ticket as a fund raiser. A daily tournament ticket is $50 if you buy it at Publix and you have to select the day you are going to the tournament. Our daily ticket is $40 and it is good ANY DAY of the tournament (Monday thru Sunday). Our Club receives $25 dollars of every ticket sold. Please support our kids and buy your PLAYERS Championship tickets from us!

Ticket Information:
- Good Any One Day Grounds Tickets are available through this program at $40 (Daily Grounds Ticket regularly priced at $55)
- Good Any One Day Grounds Tickets are not available for purchase by the general public after December 30
- Good Any One Day Grounds Tickets are valid for any one day of THE PLAYERS
- The promotion period for Chip-in ticket purchase is September 6, 2011 to April 23, 2012.
- Our organization will keep $25 of every ticket purchased on our behalf!

At the completion of Chip in for Youth, the organization that has raised the most funds will receive a $5,000 bonus! The organization raising the second most funds will earn a $2,500 bonus.

At this point, you will be directed to a dedicated Ticketmaster page, where you can enter our unique promotional code, which is “VFA”, and select the number of tickets for your purchase, and continue with the online purchasing process. Once complete, you will receive a confirmation email. Tickets can then be printed from home for no additional charge.
Please act on this quickly. Although THE PLAYERS Championship is May 7-13, 2011, this ticket offer ends on April 23rd.
